May 07, 2020 · Every time I download any kind of VPN app on my IPhone 6, it makes my internet connection stop working completely. The reason I downloaded the VPN app in the first place was to bypass the blocked websites (i.e. YouTube, Google Drive, etc.) at my school, and the app seems to work well at school- at least for the first day!

May 08, 2020 · It does not disconnect a VPN connection that the user starts manually in the trusted network. TND only disconnects the VPN session if the user first connects in an untrusted network and moves into a trusted network. For example, TND disconnects the VPN session if the user makes a VPN connection at home and then moves into the corporate office. Pulse goes into a "waiting for connection" mode. If I have the wireless set to connect automatically, it creates a loop of the VPN turning off my wireless, the wireless coming back and reconnecting, getting shut off again, repeat to infinity. When I'm on a wired network, I can connect to the VPN with no problems.
I noticed with our clients that the wireless users were connecting as a straight IPSEC vpn connection without NAT-T. Check on your concentrator or ASA and see if they connect without NAT-T. I came to the conclusion that our edge firewall (non cisco) has a UDP connection timeout of 180 seconds and is non changeable.
